Bio: Wing Yu Tang

Wing Yu Tang was a biology major at NU (class of 2009) who served as the first community leader for the Global Health community in NuWrite.

She was a senior Biological Sciences major who was heavily involved with the Global Health Department, Feinberg School of Medicine, and the Writing Program. She worked with a Feinberg research professor for three years on "Contraceptive Use in Rural Guangdong China" and recently presented this research at the 2008 American Public Health Association Conference. This work was also the basis of  her Biology Honors Thesis, for which she was awarded honors in the department, and will soon be submitted for peer-reviewed publications. Currently (fall 2009) she is a graduate student in Chronic Disease Epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health.
